Solved: Mac book pro as a daily drive Computer

Hi

Anyone has used a Macbook pro or Air as a daily drive computer for Collaboration Implementation and Troubleshooting?

(Telnet, Cisco CUCM Web page, RTMT, CUE Editor and CCX Editor)

i know many of those tools need to be on a windows virtual machine.

Or can you tell me what kind of problems has presented when start to use them,

I'm Cisco Partner Engineer and these days i need to change my Dell PC for other Computer and i don't know if it's a good choice to switch to MAC OS X or stay with a Windows PC.

I've been using Macs to manage CUCM for several years now. SSH & ccmadmin are all fine on Mac. RTMT can be made to run natively on Macs http://www.ucguerrilla.com/2013/05/installing-cisco-rtmt-for-cucm-86-on.html

For the editors, you will need a Windows VM.

Oh - and watch out for this little gotcha when creating bulk-load files on Macs: http://www.netcraftsmen.com/using-tar-on-mac-os-x-to-create-a-cucm-bulk-import-file/
