Is it possible to mark the phone/line as busy for BLF even when the phone/line is not in use?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way I can think of this being achievable without the device/line being in use is through 'Do Not Disturb' DND.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/12_5_1SU1/cucm_b_feature-configuration-guide-for-cisco1251SU1/cucm_mp_d811ea0d_00_do-not-disturb-12-0.html

Step 1. In Cisco Unified CM Administration, choose System > Service Parameters.

Step 2. Choose the Cisco CallManager service for the server that you want to configure.

Step 3. In the Clusterwide Parameters (System - Presence) pane, specify one of the following values for the BLF Status Depicts DND service parameter:

  • True—If Do Not Disturb is activated on the device, the BLF status indicator for the device or line appearance reflects the Do Not Disturb state.
  • False—If Do Not Disturb is activated on the device, the BLF status indicator for the device or line appearance reflects the actual device state.

So, the BLF indicator cannot reflect both the DND status and the line status.

If the line is being in use, can the DND status automatically be turn on?

As far as I know, BLF will still reflect both the line and DND status.

I don't know if it has changed within other models of phones, but when DND is set to on, it should display a red cross. When the line is busy it should display a phone which is off hook, along with a red indicator.
