maximum number of IOS software MTP sessions supported on ISR 4000?

Can somebody please help me out on what is the maximum number of IOS software MTP sessions on ISR 4000 boxes?

I tried to google it, but with any luck so far.

Hi ,

As most of engineering /technoogy answer are " it depends" .how much CPU youa are willing to sacrifice.

however i believe for 4000 series for 50 % CPU utilization it should be well above 1000 sessions but it might depend on router model.

Check with TAC for exact value for the model youa are using.

Additional question...

Reading the docs ... MTP is part of CUBE. 

On ISR4000 series do I need to have CUBE session license (L-FL-CUBEE-100= or similar) to be entitled to use MTP in IOS (i.e. not using the PVDM4)?

No, that's wrong,

MTP is NOT a part of CUBE.

MTP only needs the voice/UC license.

Hi

The number of Software MTP session will be equivalent to 50% of the CPU usage. To get an official confirmation please open up a case with Cisco PDI or TAC
