Guys
I am having a weird issue here. No matter how to loop my ephone-dns or voice hunt-group or etc. The call will ring out after 1 minute 30 seconds. I do not wish to failover the call to voicemail at the moment. Any ideas?
Router#sh run | s ephone-dn 1
ephone-dn 1 dual-line
number 1501 secondary 62601501
label 1501
description 0862601501
call-forward noan 1502 timeout 300
!
voice hunt-group 1 sequential
final 1500
list 2000,3000 \\*** all phones has dn 2000 and 3000 to ring them accordinly
timeout 20
pilot 1599
!
Router#sh ruN | s ephone-dn 100

I am not sure about the exact requirement, but if you want to forward call to voicemail after hunting, the max hunting time is controlled by "timeout xx" parameter in voice hunt configuration. If all endpoints are SCCP, I prefer to use ephone hunt since it gives more tuning options.

Thanks for the reply, however the call flow that I want to achieve is to loop the call for eternity and not failover to voicemail at all. I want the call to keep ringing until someone answers the call.
Thanks

Hi,
If you look under show telephony-servce
Yo will see a section showing vaious tmeouts
show telephony-service
timeout interdigit 4
timeout busy 10
timeout ringing 180
timeout transfer-recall 0
timeout ringin-callerid 8
timeout night-service-bell 12
You can see that this system is at the default 180 seconds for ringing
To change this to say 5 minutes (300 seconds) :-
conf t
telepnony-service
timeout ringing 300
!
Please note that this will change all ringing to the new setting unless you configure
a different setting elsewhere
E.G on an ephone-dn
!
ephone-dn 1 dual-line
number 5001
pickup-group 1
description BOABS NUMBER
name BOAB
call-forward busy 5990
call-forward noan 5990 timeout 15
huntstop channel
BOABS number 5001 will ring for 15 seconds before CFNA to 5990
Also remember that the local PSTN will not ring you externally for ever
the TELCO will have a timer set may be be 3 minutes, you would need to test
to a home phone with no answer for example
Hope this helps

Alex.

Hi ST,
What about if you ring the number 1599 internally
What happens then ?

Alex.

Alex
If I ring internally I can ring for more than 1 min 30 second. I have also tried to use different source and carriers to test. SIP Trunks and ISDN BRI still disconnects at 1 min 30 second.
I get this message when I test it on the SIP trunk.
