Media Sense Recording

Wondering if anyone else has seen this issue. We recently installed Media Sense and are recording our security lines. Since implementing this we have run into intermittent phone lock ups. Here is what we are seeing the phones will randomly have their screen freeze up. When off hook with a caller the phone will freeze the call. The caller is lost but the phone still shows the call active like nothing happened.

The active DN off hook lite indicator remains lit, the caller ID will still be displayed on the screen just as though nothing happened, but there is no dial tone no caller on the line and the phone is no longer usable. We have to physically reboot the phone to get the phone back. As you can probably tell not a good situation in an emergency situation. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dan,

You can start by looking at the phone console logs for any errors. Identify if any specific phone models or a specific site is affected to narrow down the issue. If it is affecting all phone models across sites then it can be related to cucm or some other global config, else it is most likely going to be phone specific issue.
