Guys,
Need to know about how to remove properly a gateway MGCP interface so that i can use DSP resources to bring up conference at the site.
I have the following MGCP gateways defined as the pics in annex.
I would like to :
1. Enter the interface 0/1/0.
2. On this prompt delete the interface.
Is it right? Also, would like to know if the configuration will be automatically applied to the router or if i'll need to issue some kind of command on it.
What do you think?
thanks in advance.
regards,
filipe

Hi Filipe,
Not sure which interface you are referring to..? Serial Interface for the T1/E1 you are using or something else? You cannot delete that interface without shutting down the controller, serial interface and voice-port. Can you post the output of show run and show inventory so we can get a better idea of what you are trying to do? Appreciate it.

Get the config guide and just follow it backwards to remove the config.

MGCP has no impact on DSP resources, unless you are talking about completely deleting the ports to release PVDMs, though that only works for E1/T1 ports as FXOs allocate DSPs if the cards are detected. If this is an E1 simply remove the configuration under controller.
