i faced an issue today with an MGCP gateway i tried number expansion translation and transformation but nothing worked to manipulate the incoming called number.
My scenario
PRI -- MGCP(GW) -- Phone with forward all to VM just for testing
PSTN sends 4814
i tried to translate it to 000666 using VGW css and a translation pattern hits the user VM
i tried Incoming called party transformation still goes to the user VM
number expansion on the VGW CLI still goes to user VM

This is MGCP, why would you use H.323 configuration?????
ALL CALL ROUTING HAS TO BE DONE IN CUCM!!!
Configure a TP matching 4814 and translate to whatever you want, it's as simple as that.

I agree on the fact that this is MGCP!!!
Now its a production environment. I have tried the translation pattern but still it just goes to the user VM.
I will try and see how the digit analyzer will react to this tomorrow.

Debug your GW to make sure that you're indeed getting the digits you think, and then it's all CUCM routing, make sure there is no best match and that the inbound CSS reaches your TP, that's all you need to have.
