MGCP FXS Port on VG224 Stuck at OPER Status 'UP', not going to 'Dorm'

Hi Experts,

.:: I'm getting a weird issue. MGCP FXS Port at VG224 shows 'Registered' at the Call Manager. But the Analog phone connected at the port is not able to receive any incoming calls. Getting Fast busy tone while dialing the Analog phone's number. There is no dial tone to dial outside as well.

.:: After logging in to VG224, I'm able to see the status of the port is 'fxs-ls up up on-hook idle y', it stuck at the 'UP' status. The ideal status would be 'dorm', but this port is not going to the 'dorm' state. FXS port stuck at UP state.

.:: Affected port (2/0/- 24, 30, 35, 38,41), all other ports are working fine.

Troubleshooting Steps followed:-

.:: Reset MGCP FXS Port at the Call Manager

.:: Shut no shut at the VG224 voice-port (2/0/- 24, 30, 35, 38,41). Even after having 'shutdown', the Admin status and Oper Status was 'UP'

.:: Removed and reconfigured the MGCP Dial-Peer (dial-peer voice 151511 pots, service mgcpapp, port 2/0/38)

Please suggest further troubleshooting steps.

One the first glance, it appears to be a bug, could you please post the config as well as the running version of the IOS on the VG224

Hi,

I am facing the same issue with VG224: fxs ports are stuck in the "up" state and getting "fast busy tone" while dialing the analog phone number.

VG224: Version 12.4(6)T

Is there any compatability issue between CUCM11 and VG224 current software version?
