MGCP gateway doesn't register to Primary (subscriber) Callmanager

Hi,

I have an environment with two CallManagers in a cluster (Publisher 192.168.96.10 and Subscriber 192.168.96.11) and a 2851 as MGCP gateway. All the devices using as primary CallManager the Subscriber and registered to it. The MGCP gateway can't register to the Primary CallManager which is the Subscriber and only registers to the Backup which is the Publisher.

CENTRAL-VG#sh ccm-manager

MGCP Domain Name: CENTRAL-VG

Priority        Status                   Host

============================================================

Primary         Down                     192.168.96.11

First Backup    Registered               192.168.96.10

Second Backup   None

This has as a result, that in case the Publisher goes down, all the internal calls are working properly, but all the outgoing and incoming calls are not working.

Thanks in advance.

Can you post full config?

Also, does the device pool assigned to the GW in CUCM have proper CUCM group assigned?

Have you tried no mgcp/mgcp and reboot of the GW?

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply and sorry for my late reply, because I was out for the last week.

I'm attaching the config file to check. The device pool was the first I've checked and it's correctly configured. I haven't tried the no mgcp/mgcp but i tried to reboot the router with no result.

I was wondering if you ever was able to resolve this issue? I am having the same issue with a 2851 going to CUCM 8.X

HI

kindly use the below configuration , after that use  command no mgcp and mgcp

HQ_Rtr(config)#ccm-manager redundant-host192.168.96.10

HQ_Rtr(config)#ccm-manager mgcp

HQ_Rtr(config)#mgcp

HQ_Rtr(config)#mgcp call-agent192.168.96.11 service-type mgcp version 0.1

Hi,

you are using "ccm-manager config" command, this command download the config files from the CCM and overwrite your config. It seems your device pool at CCM has one CCM group with one server.

Kindly remove

no ccm-manager config server 192.168.96.10 192.168.96.11

no ccm-manager config

then reset by "no mgcp" then "mgcp"
