Hi,
I hope someone can help me. I've scoured the forums and support documents but can't seem to determine why my 1760-V Gateway won't register correctly with my CUCM 8.0.2 running on VMWare. From my reading it looks as if they are communicating with each other but just doesn't seem to register properly. Or whether it has in fact and I'm just being stupid. Your help is greatly appreciated

Hi,
Agree with Alex, I missed that!

Hi,
If you issue "show mgcp end" and you're not getting a positive result, it means that for some reason the Gateway is not taking the MGCP dial-peers for the FXO ports, you can try by adding manually those dial-peers:
dial-peer voice 100 pots
port 2/0
service mgcpapp
Then issue "no mgcp" and "mgcp" and reset the GW on CUCM.
Please give it a try and let us know!

Hi,
Yes, you should be able to see the command "service". Maybe you can try with a newer IOS, on the "T" train:
IP VOICE W/O CRYPTO
c1700-ipvoice-mz.124-15.T9.bin
I was lookign at the Feature Navigator and didn't find any specification on the FXO ports, so you may give it a try.

If you are using the host name as it is configured on the IOS gateway, the name that you enter in Domain name field must match exactly.
For example, if the hostname is configured on the gateway to resolve to vg200-1 and the IP domain name is not configured, enter the hostname in this field (in this case, vg200-1).
If the hostname is configured on the gateway as vg200-1 and the IP domain name is configured on the gateway as cisco.com, enter vg200-1.cisco.com in Domain name field.

Alex, Jorge thanks very much for this it has worked. Is there any reasoning for this or is it just a bug?
