MGCP gateway with SIP trunk

Hi All,

We have MGCP gateway with PRI & FXO connections from ISP , Now we are getting one more connection in MGCP which is SIP from other service provider .

Whether it's supporting MGCP gateway (FXO,PRI) with SIP ?

For the 2nd connection, your gateway should act as a cube to have sip trunk
to provider and sip trunk to cucm. This might be an opportunity to convert
the mgcp as well to sip + PRI. In this case you have uniform control and
failover.

There are other options but I believe this is the best done

Instead making the Voice gateway to CUBE ,Can i achieve by using MGCP gateway itself

CUCM - mgcp - GW - PSTN (PRI)

CUCM - mgcp - GW - PSTN (FXO)

Added something like:

CUCM - SIP trunk - GW - SIP trunk - SIP provider

MGCP controlled end points cannot be used with SIP or H.323. Having said that your call flows/topologies should be fine including

CUCM - SIP trunk - GW - SIP trunk - SIP provider
