Hi,
I am assuming, but have not found any documentation specificially talking about mixing the types of servers in a single CUCM cluster. We are running 7.1(5) currently. I can't imagine this would cause any problems as long as they can support the number of users, but we have always had identical hardware across the cluster.
I would like to know that I can use one of my (older) lab servers to replace a failed server in case of such an event.
Is this a correct assumption?
Thank you,
Mary

You can mix hardware within a cluster although this is not generally recommended. The main consideration is that capacity and performance for the cluster need to take into consideration the lowest common denominator (i.e., "smallest" server hardware)...but yes, this is possible.
