How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Hi,

On CME it straight forward. You need to download moh file from cisco
website (this is the simplest way, otherwise you can create your moh). Then
configure moh file under telephony-service or voice register global. Ensure
that the codec of the moh file is same as your call codec or g711ulaw if
it's played to pstn.

do you know by chance the configuration to insert the moh in voice register global? in the internet I only found for Telefony-service

good evening i solved with the following configuration:

telephony-service

moh name file.wav

in lan works with both scc and sip, but the call from wan not works.

Hi,

Are you using the same codec as the MOH file for WAN calls.? If you are
using g729 for example on wan calls and your moh file is g711, it won't
work.

There are ways to play moh from remote routers for wan calls. Just look it
up in Google and you will get many examples.

from what I understand one of the important things apart from the codec is the multicast configuration and codec g729 for wan:

multicast moh 239.1.1.1 port 16384 route (loopback ip) 192.168.30.1 (fastethernet ip)10.10.30.1
right?
