MOH issue with CUCM 6.1

Hello,

We suddenly have no moh file anymore...when phone A puts phone B on hold,nothing is heard...only silence.

The file is still there.I checked that in the MOH audio source menu.However,i can not find the file in the TFTP management menu.Is it normal,could that be the cause?

Anyone who has an idea?

Hi Kurt,

If you go to Media Resources > MOHAudio Management, does the file show as "in use"?

Also, are you multicasting the MOH?

Probably best to re-compress another file and upload it for quick resolution as it looks like it may be a problem with the file (looking at the output you've provided).

--> i'm not sure as the default file "Sampleaudiosource" is not working neither.

I'm going to verify if i see the same error regarding this file too.

Ok, I haven't found any related bugs for this yet.

Have you tried re-starting the Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming app service?

If i take a look in the MOHStreamsTotal performace parameter,i can see the total streams incrementing.It does not go down when a stream is inactive.

Maybe that's the problem.

Not sure whether this is the correct behaviour to be honest.

I would definately go with a service re-start first though to see if it improves anything.

Hi,

I'm using 6.1.2 also.

No,not yet...Cisco asked me put a new file on the server and test again.

I did that,and the CUCM recompressed it.I applied it to a phone and it worked 1 time.

After that,same result again.Only silence.

Waiting for the nex step.

No,not yet...that's what we want to avoid...

But maybe it could be an option though.

I will propose it to my customer.

If that does not solve the problem,this means that we are facing a severe issue here and i will increasy the priority with Cisco then.
