MOH Sample Audio Source File won't play

Hello All,

I'm having an issue with CUCM 10.6 where all devices using a .wav for MOH get silence now. When I change a device manually at the line level I have been fine getting MOH with other files on the server...just not the one we have been using. This is pulled from the Common Device Configuration. I can see all the files on the server (PUB and SUBs as well). Do I need to restart the Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App service? If so, which server should I restart it and will it affect production.

Thanks!

I was able to correct this with a restart of the Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App service.

Hi,

Have you changed the file recently? Silence means that the audio
formatting is not accepted by MOH server (assuming that all routing, hop
counts, firewalls are good).

If this file was working before, try to reupload it. If its a new file, it
should be matching the formate accepted by MOH.

"Convert Music On Hold Files

When you import an audio source file, Cisco Unified Communications Manager
processes the file and converts the file to the proper formats for use by
the Music On Hold server.
These are some examples of a valid input audio source files:

-

16-bit PCM .wav file
-

Stereo or mono
-

Sample rates of 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 32 kHz, 16 kHz, or 8 kHz"
