strange behavior for MRA jabber. two way audio only works if they resets jabber. if they disconnect wifi(from home internet side and not in office) and then login again and make a call it MRA side cannot hear audio. but other side they can hear voice.
PERimeter FW ---> DC firewall ---> EXP-E external nic
EXP-E LAN --> EXP-C LAN ie both are in the same subnet. CUCM also in the same subnet.
why everytime jabber client get reset the call happens without any issue and both sides can hear without any issue.
But if they disconnect from wifi and make a call one way audio..This is very strange..

One way audio issues are almost always ip routing related. So if you disconnect WiFi and you get one way audio with the ethernet, most likely it is a problem with the IP address you get on the ethernet, vs the IP address you get on the WiFi. If the ethernet and WiFi are on the same subnet, then most likely it is a problem with the MRA not being able to connect with the new IP address until you reset the jabber so that it can set it up again.

I think you really missed the point i was mentioning. he is not in office he is at home. he is making an MRA call.
i understand one way or two way are ip routing issue. ill repeat the scenario again.
The person from internet from his home trying to jabber call. before he start he reset his jabber client. Then he login and tries the call. this time he gets two way audio call. remember he is at his home not in office. so its an MRA call.
next time, he is not resetting the jabber client. instead he disconnect from his wifi at home and connect it back. then tries to login jabber and tries to make call. This is also MRA call. but this time he only get one way audio call. especially he is not getting audio. other person can hear him properly.
why from home ie from same place when he resets and make a call it works without any issue and later time experiencing one way audio from the same place ie from home? its very strange situation..

I did understand that is was an MRA call. So, with the disconnecting of the WiFi he is just simulating some kind of disconnection? I think the problem has to do with Jabber reconnecting to MRA after the disconnection and reconnection of the WiFI. It would appear that the RTP stream from the Expressway E is not making it to the Jabber client. Perhaps getting a packet capture from the E and from the computer the Jabber is on would help determine what the issue may be. Also, you could get a problem report of the Jabber after the reconnection of the WiFi. Perhaps the logs from the C and E as well after the reconnection of the WiFi to see if the Jabber connects back correctly.

Hi there,
I agree, that's a strange one and we would need logs from the Expressway C & E and some packet captures from the affected users machine, one when it's on wired and the other when on wireless and check for any tell-tale signs there.
It may also be worth using the keyboard shortcut ctrl, shift + D on Jabber when logging in on wireless and wired for any tell-tale signs there too.
Is it affecting one person only? Do you have other users who use the MRA solution from home? If so do they use it happily without these issues? If not, it may be worth rolling this out to another user, or indeed yourself to see if it's a common issue across the board.

i have collected packet capture from C and E. MAy I know what to check to see RTP packet in E? RTP protocol i cannot see in E but in EXP C i can see . so What to check it in E ? it may be because of encryption i cannot see in E.
also in jabber client log what to check specifically...
This problem appearing from users from certain countries like egypt and india.

Today another user facing one way audio issue.
from his account he is facing this issue. if he reset jabber and make a call, its working fine with two way audio.
as i mentioned if he get disconnect make a call he is having one way audio issue. this issue he is facing while he is in MRA call. Local office jabber call as well.
from the same machine if he tries to login with another account . that account working fine without any issue.
user is active directory user. any connection with it if they didnt fille details properly. i found same users not showing chat option. so that we cannot chat with user. when the user tries to do screen share other party receives the windows but within some seconds it closes the window.
in same lan subnet other users working fine also.
