Backing up the publisher server we normally have a 680 mb backup. There haven't been any particular dramatic changes. A user update here and a user update there. All of a sudden my backup is 1.26 gb. Any ideas?

Hi Ross,
The size of the backup will vary due mainly to the volume of CDR records. You probably have the system set to purge the records at a specific time. This is why the backup size could be quite high one week (before purge) and quite low the following week (after purge). Here is a great explanation of the backup file size from Gonzalo@Cisco;
Hope this helps!

Are you backing up CDR?
I've experienced it before where CDR had been turned on in the callmanager but was not functioning. A subsequent reboot caused CDR to function.
If this is your case and you are in fact backing up CDR, depending on call volume, your backup size could skyrocket.
