We have a network built with 3750 stacks. We are now rolling out NEC ip phones to a new building connected through a trunked cross stack etherchannel using 2 - 100mb links.
A problem that I am seeing is that if I plug a laptop into a port on the switch with no phone involved, I ended up seeing some packet loss when pinging from the laptop to a server in the other building or a pc on the local floor. All other offices in this remote building have an ip phone with a pc connected to the pc port. We have a remote PIM here in the remote building.
Switch configs on each port:
switchport access vlan 22
switchport mode access
switchport voice vlan 701
mls qos trust cos
spanning-tree portfast
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
The phone gets the correct ip on the vlan designated voice and the pc gets the correct ip on the data subnet.
