Need clarification on basic Voice concept

what is default dial-peer? is it being matched or not

what is inbound call leg? its from gateway to CUCM or vice versa

For in coming call, do we need incoming called number. ? if so then why ?

Do we need DID for incoming voip call

Do i want DID on an incoming POTS call.

default dialpeer is dialpeer 0, it matches by default if there is no other incoming dialpeer is matched.

whenever call hits the GW, it matches incoming dialpeer , it can be from CUCM or PSTN.

we need incoming dialpeer to define the codec and dtmf digits.

DID is required for incoming POTS dialpeer.
