SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml for 9971 attached.
Note:
1. Asterisk extension settings for "transport" = ALL-TCP Primary; NAT = NO
2. Things to look out for in the file are all tags with UPPERCASE characters. The only one you SHOULD NOT TOUCH/CHANGE/EDIT is the one called "USECALLMANAGER". Do NOT edit out this XML tag.
3. Take note of the firmware I'm using.
4. Kindly rename the file accordingly.

Hi, Leo,
I am trying to connect cisco CP-7945G with the third party SIP server. I can registed to SIP server with SIP firmware SIP 8.5.4 by SEPMACADDRESSHERE.cnf.xml (TFTP) and 7945 work well. But the new 7945 need minium SIP firmware is 9.3.1SR1. so i upgraded SIP firmware to 9.4.2, but i can't registed the new 7945 to SIP server with the same SEPMACADDRESSHERE.cnf.xml. I change my SEPMACADDRESSHERE.cnf.xml according to your sepmacaddress-8961.cnf_.xml_.txt, but i can't registed the new 7945 still.
Attach file is my .cnf.xml file.
Can you help me check it? Thanks a lot.

I can't help you a lot here because you're trying to get your phone to talk directly to your VSP. I will try.
<natEnabled>false</natEnabled> <natAddress></natAddress>
You need to talk to your VSP (voice service provider). Some VSP will do the NAT and will tell you to disable NAT on your router (disable ALG). You'll need to check your router too. Some VSP have very good technicians and they can tell where the call registration is failing.
<loadInformation>SIP45.9-4-2-1S</loadInformation>
Go HERE. Firmware 9.3(1)SR2 is far more superior than 9.4(2).
<preferredCodec>g711ulaw</preferredCodec>
Talk to your VSP what codec they'll support.
<processNodeName>ims.telecom.com</processNodeName>
If you are able to, put the IP address here. It will cost lesser CPU overhead to your router.
One more thing ... Not all VSP will allow multiple phones to register to a single username. So you'll need to get the VSP to verify this.

Thanks for your reply. we can register 7945 to SIP server with firmware 8.5.4,and now we upgrade 7945 firmware to 9.4.2, we can't register to SIP server with same sepxxxx.cnf.xml(just change mac, loadinformation, line number), so the config about nat, codec you mean should be no problem.
The sepxxx.cnf.xml file i provided just a reference, i don't use a single username to register in real test.
i 'll try the firmware 9.3(1)SR2, thank you.

so strange! i cant upgrade firmware to 9.3(1)SR2, but 7945 can support firmware 9.3(1)SR1 or later on cisco.com. i dont know why??

cant upgrade firmware to 9.3(1)SR2, but 7945 can support firmware 9.3(1)SR1 or later on cisco.com.
Depends on the phone's "hardware version". Read THIS.

i had read the doc. your mentioned before. According to cisco, the new 7945 should support firmware 9.3(1)SR1 or later, but i am sure i cant upgrade 7945 to 9.3(1)SR1 & 9.3(1)SR2, and i can upgrade 7945 to 9.3(1)SR3 or later.
i am so confused this.
