Hello,
I have an issue to synchronize the network clock of my ISR 4321 with my operator.
Here is the configuration in place:
controller E1 0/1/0
framing no-crc4
clock source line primary
pri-group timeslots 1-31
!
network-clock synchronization automatic
network-clock input-source 1 controller E1 0/1/0
The result of the show network-clock command:
There are no network clock sources configured
Active source = UNAVAILABLE
All Network Clock Configuration
---------------------------------
Priority Clock Source State Reason
Current operating mode is Revertive
Current OOR Switchover mode is Switchover
There are no slots disabled from participating in network clocking
Is there a command missing?
Thanks for your help.
Thomas.

Hello,
I used this documentation to configure my router but I'm not able to enter this command : network-clock input-source priority controller E1 0/1/0 under the controller E1
Here is the show version:
Cisco IOS XE Software, Version 03.17.01.S - Standard Support Release
Cisco IOS Software, ISR Software (X86_64_LINUX_IOSD-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.6(1)S1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)
It's the same thing with the IOS 3.16.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
I finally succeded to have the service provider by phone and he told me that his equipment was the one which has to synchronize to my equipment. Not the other way....
I'm sorry, I feel like I wasted your time.
Thank you for your help.
Thomas.

Hi,
I am going through the exact same situation as Thomas did. 4331 router with single E1 interface. My telco is Telmex (Mexico) and their E1 R2 circuit handoff was a pair of coaxial cables for which I had to use BNC-to-RJ45 converter. I had very hard time getting the configuration information from the telco which I got after so many requests. The circuit came up after applying the settings and seemed to have stayed up for a while. There were no errors in the line for a while but now I am seeing tones of slip seconds, line code violations, path code violations errors. Telco says they don't see any issues at their end. And sadly I don't see issues at my end either. Then I am trying to figure out where exactly is the issue?
I am attaching the output of sh controller e1
E1 0/1/0 is up.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - unbalanced
No alarms detected.
alarm-trigger is not set
Framing is no-crc4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Line Primary.
International Bit: 1, National Bits: 11111
Data in current interval (360 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
10 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins
10 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 0 Unavail Secs
Total Data (last 1 15 minute intervals):
4 Line Code Violations, 241 Path Code Violations,
41 Slip Secs, 163 Fr Loss Secs, 3 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins,
381 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 160 Unavail Secs
And here is the controller configuration
controller E1 0/1/0
framing no-crc4
clock source line primary
line-termination 75-ohm
ds0-group 1 timeslots 1-15,17-31 type r2-digital r2-compelled ani
cas-custom 1
country telmex
debounce-time 10
seizure-ack-time 40
release-ack
category 2
answer-signal group-b 1
caller-digits 4
dnis-digits min 4 max 4
ani-digits min 0 max 10
answer-guard-time 1000
groupa-callerid-end
Clocking information
clock source line primary
network-clock synchronization automatic
network-clock input-source 1 controller E1 0/1/0
output of show network-clock
Can someone give me any insights based on above outputs and configuration where I should be looking or what configuration change is required in order to resolve this problem.
Thank you so much,
Khanal

Hi Khanal,
did you solve this problem?, could you share the config?
Thanks

Sorry we had lots of issues with the E1 circuit and went with SIP solution. Thanks
