Hi,

The device pack you mentioned can be installed on any 10.5(2) versions. Just check for the phone firmware versions on this device pack in the below link and if you need a different firmware version for any model phone, make sure to change that in the device defaults.

Hi!

It doesnt matter on which node you begin to install the device pack and which you will reboot first.

It's important that you perform a cluster restart afterwards. (which is not neceassary on all releases, but for yours)

But I'm doing good with this reboot order:

1. Publisher (wait for all services to come back up)

2. Subscriber(s)  (wait for all services to come back up)

3.TFTP Servers

Install a Device Pack

Install a device package to introduce new phone types and upgrade the firmware for multiple phone models.

Apply this device package to all of your Cisco Unified Communications Manager servers, beginning with the publisher server and the TFTP server.

what do you mean by tftp servers? i thought the cucm publisher itself is the tftp server?

It depends. If you are using Publisher as TFTP server, then its fine. Any CUCM in which TFTP service is activated and running is the TFTP server which can be publisher as well.
