No dial tone when trying to transfer

I'm having an issue at one location. Call is received, user presses the Transfer softkey and no dial tone is heard - call transfer doesn't work even if they go ahead and dial digits.

Phones and Gateway have been reset.

New location, transferred did work last week, but this week does not.

CM 10.5, 7945 phones. Load SCCP45.9-3-1SR4-1S. Max calls 5, busy trigger 4

Other phones in the cluster are fine. This happens to all calls - internal or external via local PRI in MGCP gateway, or received from UCON Auto attendant.

TAC case opened but waiting for Cisco.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi @phlytigue,

A few questions for you:

  • Does the problem happen with all calls (internal/external)?
  • Did you check your MTP resources in CUCM?
  • In CUCM, under Media Resources > Media Termination Point ... Are the MTP resources registered with CUCM?
  • In your Gateway, how are the DSP farm profiles configured?

Hope to see your answers.

Looks like we ran into bug -

"Problems transferring/answering calls when using headset with 79XX phone
CSCun26289"

We loaded SCCP45.9-4-2-1S instead of SCCP45.9-3-1SR4-1S to a test phone and this appears to have solved this issue.

This is for sure a bug with that firmware. I have ran into this several times and upgrading to 9-4-1 fixed the issue.
