Hi,
we recently switched our ITSP. Our setup is quite straight forward: 1x CUCM 12.5, 1x CUC and a CUBE for the SIP connection to the ITSP.
After the switch from the old to the new provider we noticed that the ringtone (ringback) that is played by the announciator when a call is transfered from one extension to another (heard by the external party) is missing. First MoH is played, then after the Transfer Button is pressed no ringtone is played for the caller (external party).
The strange thing is, this only happens when g722-64 as codec is negotiated for the call. If a g711 variant is used the ringback tone is played as usual.
I did some tracing with RTMT (IP Voice Media Streaming APP - IPVMS log). I can see both MoH and ringtone .wav being accessed when a g711 call is being transferred. However if it's an g722 call MoH is played but no subsequent Announciator for the ringtone is displayed nor is an error visible.
I don't think it's an transcoding issue, as the Conference Bridge etc. works fine for both g711 and g722. Any ideas what I can check? Is the announciator dependent on any codec settings I might have missed?
thanks,
Fabian

The announciator supports G711ulaw only, what the type of SIP message for the ring back tone? is 180 or 183, it is better to attach the SIP trace log file.

Hi,
thanks, you nudged me in the right direction there... The announciator was still in the Default Device Pool, however the Transcoder was in the "normal" Device Pool where all the devices are put. After moving the announciator also to our "normal" Device Pool the ringtone gets transcoded and is correctly played back....
