Hello guys,
Could you please help me with this bizarre situation? When we are on a call (Cisco IP phone -> CUCM 7x -> VG 3825 -> E1 to PSTN) and nobody speaks we cannot hear anything (even no noise).

Is the call being setup with g.729b ? g.729b has VAD (Voice Activity Detection) enabled by default.
If not, check if the codec / dialpeers getting picked have vad enabled. You can do 'no vad' on the dial-peers getting selected, and check again.
