Notable Changes from 6.x to 8.6 ??

I'm looking to provide a short list of notable impact-items for clients that make substantial jumps in CUCM versions. Aside from sending them a barrage of release notes or even the "new and changed information" Cisco docs, anyone have a good bullet list of key impact items?  I'm thinking just those things that may affect their day-2 MACD or end-user experience (e.g., firmware x introduces feature y, etc. etc.).

I know, it's a tall task - but I figured I'd throw it out there.

Hi Brian,

It is hard to list down what impact would be there on User side after upgradation.

Prior to upgradation , please follow steps:

a. Take BAckup of Call Manager

b. Get 8.x licenses before u upgrade.

c. Check DB Replication

One can list down what all features and integrations are working in Call Manager 6.x

a.  LDAP integration

b.  Any Phone Services like Extension Mobility if configured.

c. NTP syncronisation
