Hi All,
I am experiencing one way audio issues with hard phones (7940 series); only when making internal calls (users on the network), the called party can not hear the caller party, the caller can.
There are not problems when making external calls from the same phones that is no audio problems if i call a pstn line from the hard phones. Also no one way audio issues in internal or external calls between soft phones (Cisco IP communicators)????
Can any one please shed some light to what might the problem be???
Regards,
Esteban G.

one way audio is mostly a routing issue.
Do you have multiple vlans configured?
The IP Communicators are probably working on the data vlan so my guess is a issue in the voice vlan configuration.
Are the two 7940 phones in the same subnet or vlan?

Hi There,
Yes we have multiple vlans configured. The two 7940 phones are on the same vlan. I figured out the problem.
I fixed it by allowing a range of udp ports greater than 1024, in the access list ruling the affected Vlan interface.
Thanks,
Esteban
