Dear,
We are having a issue with outbound calls in Denmark.
When the customer wants to dial out to the PSTN it takes some time for the number to start dialling. I've already adjusted the T302 timer for this but that doesn't seem to be the issue.
The issue seems that the calls takes some time to form over to the PSTN.
I've done a debug trace of Q931 and from the moment he connects to the outside it takes a while for it to start ringing, i can start a detailed trace later today or tomorrow.
Are there any commands i could do to the E1 controller or the voiceport to speed up things, send a sending complete or something so the provider picks this up faster, or is this totally a provider issue?
Thanks,
Yannick

Hi Yannick,
Please try to make the outbound call again and press "#" at the end of the call and check if the call still takes time to complete.
If the issue is still there then we need to collect the debugs on the gateway.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Yannick,
It depends on what you are seeing in the ISDN debugs:
If you see the following:
TX -> SETUP
RX <- Call Proceeding
..
Time delay
..
RX <- Alerting
Then it is an issue with the provider not routing the call immediately.
Also in the SETUP, you can check for the "Sending Complete", which means all digits have been mentioned in the called party and the call should be routed immediately.
Thanks

This is the output from the debug isdn q931, there is a 10 second delay between "Call Proc" and "Progress"
Anyone any ideas

Hi Yannick,
It's clear from your output that this is a telco issue.
Mar 6 10:52:40 CET: ISDN Se0/0/0:15 Q931: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x8542
Channel ID i = 0xA9838C

Progress Ind i = 0x8A81 - Call not end-to-end ISDN, may have in-band info
NYK01VG21#
The provider will have to rectify the 10 second delay it takes for them to reach the number called.
The ringback will only begin once the progress information has been received and it will come in band from the telco.
Thanks
