Paging via an FXO Port

James Carlson

Hello! I have a Bogen Classic C-100 working in conjunction with a Wheellock into an FXO Port on my voice gateway that I'd like to use for paging.

I've confirmed with TAC that everything is configured correctly in CUCM. When I call my paging extension, I get a tone (which I assume is coming from the Wheellock as the Bogen does not send a tone), but I hear nothing I speak com out over the speakers. If I break the cable connection and dial the extension, I immediately get a busy signal.

In speaking with Bogen, they said that the port has to be configured for "600 ohms dry audio". Is anyone familiar with how the FXO port needs to be configured in order to do this?

Thanks, Alex!

The gateway took the command with no errors but I am not seeing it on the port:

voice-port 0/3/1

no battery-reversal

description HQ Paging System

Is this normal? Forgive me as I don't have much experience with FXO.

Thanks for your help!
