Password Protection for Cisco IP Phones

Hi Folks,

I have a number of cisco IP phones 7941, 9971 etc that I like to password protect to avoid  unauthorised persons calling out on the phones. I have tried using the common phone profile under Device settings on CUCM 7.1.2 to no avail.

FAC has been sabotaged and found useless since FAC codes assigned could be used on another phones in the same Partition.

Please any solution is appreciated.

Also, is there a way I can use ACL on CUCM to avoid calls dialling after work hour except a specific password is supplied after a prompt on each phone.

Hi Caleb.

My buddy Aman, has been faster  (+5)

With Extension Mobility user can migrate his extensions and phone features to another phone just logging into the phone.

When logged out, the Phone could have an extension able to call internal DN only.

You can refer to the following doc to have an idea on how to configure this service.
