Phantom 2 sec calls internally

Hi guys,

I have a VP whose phone he claims randomly dials other user's internally. He said that he was sitting at his desk and other people showed up asking him did he call them.. His 7940 phone does show a few outgoing calls for about 2 seconds to people. How can this happen? This only happened on 1/27/17 on a friday. (claims it could be a prank)..

Your help is greatly appreciated.

You need to mention what you're using, and not just the problem.

Assuming this is CUCM, look at CDR and CUCM traces.

CUCM 11.0.1, The phone is a 7941 with 9-4-2SR1-1S as the active load currently.

In order to "prove" for sure what happened, we would need to see the CUCM trace files for the affected time, along with a list of some of the numbers his phone called.

Are there any applications which could be controlling his desk phone such as jabber or attendant console?
