Phone type not shown in Device profile configuration

I am configuring Extension mobility on CUCM version 7.1.2.  I am looking for the device type to show the 6921 ip phone but this does not show in the drop down box, i have a few of these phones on the system and registered.

Does anyone know why this woud be the case?

What CUCM 7.1.2 version are you running?

Is it the base version?

It could be that the CUCM is missing a device pack.

What version of firmware is the 6921 supposed to have by default in the CUCM?

Go to Device -> Device Settings -> Device Defaults

Which version you have for the 6921?

System version: 7.1.2.30000-3

6921 is not showing in the device defaults either.

Its really quite bizarre as i have 12x6921 phones auto registered configured and working.

Hi Keith,

Just to add a note to the good info from Fernando (+5)

I guess for some reason your version of CUCM allowed the 6921's to Auto-Register, but

you will need to load the Device pack shown below to add the 6921 to the Device

Defaults etc. CUCM 7.1(2) was the first version to support the 6900 series of IP Phones
