Good day Experts.

I was failing to get remote access to the CME router i decided to remove the aaa configurations on the router.

I went on to have remote access as i only left this on the router...

aaa authentication login aaa_local local

When i checked all phoes are not registering they are stuck at "registering"

Can you walk me through making sure my phones are registered.

Thanks

 Hi @yamikani2g2

Do you use sccp or sip control?

Please share your cme config too.

Best regards

I will share my configs but what i notice is that my phones where prevously getting IP addresses in the 10.0.X.X range now they are getting IP address in 192.168.0.X Range

I feel the network has a rogue DHCP server one other thing is that both data and Voice are in the same IP subnet range i really dont know why someone would do that. Best practise is to seperate the two.

But if we could resolve the current issue now i would be happy.. This seems to have disturbed 2 more branches that i have. I dont know what IP addresses the Branches are getting as they have non Cisco Phones. I am using SIP.

Ok @yamikani2g2

You perhaps find something wrong with dhcp server.

Ok for sip control.

Don't forget to configure ip address trusted list if your LAN-voip is unknown from your CME. Sometimes dhcp server is not on CME but on a remote router....then CME is blind about the remote sip phone LAN.

When you say remote, is it VPN ? If not, are these SIP phones and in a different subnet than your CME ?

Experts i sincerely apologize it was a physical issue. Cable not properly plugging in My appologies I started from physical before going to layer 3.

Thanks for solutions and insights..

Ok @yamikani2g2

Nevermind. You have found the problem :)

Best regards
