phones takes 4 to 5 seconds to dial the extension (SIP)

dear all

i have cisco phone 7945 and when i dial one extenstion to another one i have sip protocol with asterisk they are connected but it takes 4 to 5 secconds to dial the number can any body tell me how should i solve this problem.

Hi,

What firwmare you are using in 7945 phone. And how is dialing done, are you picking up hand set after dialing the number or Handset is picked up while dialing.

Do you have any overlapping Route pattern to reach Asterisk.
