Hi,

This link will help you to solve the problem:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-22944#Error_XML_Error_4_Parse_Error

Below the solution for rhis error:

Error:- XML Error [4] Parse Error

Resolution:-

Check that the URL that is configured for Cisco Extension Mobility is correct and there should be no space in between.

Hi Leo,

thanx for your quick response.

The url is correct and does not have any spaces in between , even login/ logout is also working properly but only during pin change i m facing this problem..

the same url is working for other phones .i am facing problem only for 7940 models.

below link gives list of supported phones which supports this feature and doesn't have 7940 in the list , still i m confused as it is not having 6921 also but the same working fine on 6921 model.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/8_0_1/delta/phones.html

can u pls help me on clearing my confusion.

Thanks,

Siddharam

For Cisco 6921 is supported even is not in the list beacuse is not as old than 7940.  I would recomend as a last resort to upgrade the phone firmware...but if Cisco said is not supported maybe it will no work.

Regards

good day gents,

the below are my findings on this matter. now the below bug may not directly apply to your version of CUCM, but maybe it does in some way. so i thought i'd include it just in case. also, the below are some simple links on how to change the extension mobility pin. i hopt this info is useful:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/8_6_1/ccmfeat/fsem.html#wp1430288

http://www.nvcc.edu/about-nova/directories--offices/administrative-offices/ithd/faculty/phone/7960-7940UsersGuide.pdf

see TAC case 611445517:

Extension Mobility "XML error [4]: parse error"
CUCM 7.0.2.20000-5 (1PUB and 1SUB) integrated with LDAP (Active Directory)

If an end user is associated with two UDPs, when you try to login Extension
Mobility after it authenticate the username and pin, you get "XML error [4]:
parse error" after selecting one profile.

Hitting defect (CSCsy70860), UserId contains special characters and with multiple device
profiles associated.

The workaround is to remove any special characters (eg. space) in UserId, and Extension
Mobility is working properly.
