I have discovered a small pin hole on the bottom fight underside of Cisco 79xx model phones.
Can anyone tell me it's use?
Is it possibly for a hardware factory reset?

Hello Rodney,
That pin hole you mentioned is the microphone used when you are talking on "Speaker" mode.
It has nothing to do with Hardware reset.
In order to do a factory reset/default of a Cisco IP Phone you need to follow a specific keypad sequence.
Here you have an example for models 7920,7940,7960,7941 and 7961:

If your phone is not on that list, please tell me your exact phone model and I can look up the process for you.
I hope it helps,
German

Gmendivi,
Another thanks.
Should have read the phone user manual where it likely is.
Hope I did not puncher it trying to press a non-existant button inside.
