In the past, it was considered best practice to dedicate Unity/CUC ports to various functions like answer calls, MWI, TRAP, etc.
Is this still considered best practice? If so, does it apply to SIP only integrations (versus SCCP) and what is the ratio?
Recent documentation like SRND refers to the System Administration Guide for Unity/CUC which refers planning port functions to the Integration guides which do not refer to any best practice.
In fact, the Integration guide for SIP to a UCME actually has a warning breakout/note that all ports should answer calls.
So, what is the current guidelines / best practice on CUC/Unity port allocation between types (not by cluster node)?
Thanks
