If I go into the Corporate Directory on my IP phone and do a blank search, I get a listing of all users with "last name, first name" sorted by last name.
Is there a way to reverse this? Either on the phone or in call Manager?
Im not sure if there are other ways to accomplish this, but I have seen people just input the last name in the first name field, and the first name in the last name field of the user configuration of the global directory. When you check the directory on the phone, it will then be sorted by first name.

Thanks for the reply, and I'm sure this would work. However, we have a large AD domain with hundreds of users so not practical for our purposes.

however you can to the following:
- Go to your CCM server and look for the xmldirectoryinput.asp that is under
- Open this file and look for the following output:
