Prefixing "8" to incoming CLID in CM5 with MGCP gateway

Hello,

I have an BRI MGCP gateway configured, on a 2811, with backhauling of BRI messages to CM5.

When I get an incoming call, it shows up as 23XXXXXXXX.

I want to be able to present this to the end user as 8023XXXXXXXX.

However, I want to do this for only this gateway, and not system wide. (I have h.323 gateways also, that prefix "9").

Things I have tried and failed :-

In the gateway config screen, there is an option of Prefix DN under Call Routing Information - Inbound Calls

But that does not seem to work.

Creating translation patterns / CSS and partitions also does not seem to work.

Any ideas ??

Thanks

RESOLVED :-

I was able to finally get this to work with Translation patterns, following another post in this forum, and a cisco web link.

The prefix DN still does not work, the way I thought it should.

My problem was, that I needed to reset the mgcp process on the gateway, for changes to take effect by issuing a

no mgcp

mgcp

whenever I made a change in CM5.

(Thanks to TIm Bryson who pointed this out to me in another post)

Thanks.
