Hi Nadeem.

From posted config I see

pri-group timeslots 1-31 service mgcp

So it seems to be MGCP controlled not H323.

HI Carlo ,

In the CUCM E1 Gateway i have already config channel to bottom-up or top-down but no result ,

but when outgoing E1 never change  channel other than 1 when setting top-down , and never change channel other than 31 when i set bottom-up

i have used command

isdn service b_channel 1 state 2

to force it use another channel , but the outgoing call can not procceed , and in debug isdn q931 not showing anything.

when i change isdn service b_channel 1 state 0 , debug isdn q931 out but showing no requested channel.

best regards,

Tommy

Hi Nadeem,

I Already enable the network select

Network Clock Configuration

     1          E1 0/3/0        GOOD            E1

    10          Backplane       GOOD            PLL

  Current Primary Clock Source

  ---------------------------

Priority      Clock Source    Clock State     Clock Type

     1          E1 0/3/0        GOOD            E1

but still outgoing status requested circuit/channel not available

Tommy

Hi,

You get a RX "Requested circuit/channel not available" after a TX from your side.

I would contact the provider.

If the E1 is MGCP controlled you might try to enable "Inhibit restarts at PRI initialization" (unselect it)

After a reset the CM will request each channel, and the provider should aknowledge this.

I the cases I had this error, it was always a provider issue.

Bye,

Jan

Hi Tommy,

Is SLIPs and errors problem resolved?

can u run the command show isdn service on router to check the channel status?

regds,

aman

Hi aman ,

nope the slip error still same , i have replaced the E1 port to another E1 but the result still same .

Hi Jay,

I have contact the provider , and provider have confirm they have opened the channel from their side.

I have tried "Inhibit restarts at PRI initialization" but the result is still same .

Tommy

Hi,

Believe me it's a provider issue.

Provider sends a RX, 'channel not available'. Provider has to tell you why they send this message. There must be a reason for it. And again, THEY send this message! Not you!

Several years ago I had a similar issue, and customer wanted to throw out Cisco, because provider says they are not blocking channels etc, finally customer wanted to sue provider, and then provider changed some equipment and all was solved.

And 1 year ago, with another customer, same issue. Provider says, they don't block channels, I told my customer, that it is a problem with the provider, and I can do nothing, and it's up to customer and provider.

After a week or so engineer from provider comes on site, does something and viola, it works! (a year without issues now)

Good luck!

Bye,

Jan

Hi Tommy,

As suggested by Jan , can't you ask Telco to check the E1 link through BERT?

regds,

aman
