Hi.

If you are logged in through ssh, csim feature doesn't work use telnet instead.

Please activate the following debug, try a call and post the output

debug voip dialpeer inout

debug vmp signal

Thanks

Hi Carlo,

Thank you for your reply, i really appreciate this.

I'm using telnet and the command csim send this error message always when i try a call to an external number.

In the other hand, i have activated the debug that you have recommanded and here the results:

Thanks for help

Marwa

Hi.

The number you are using with csim command is hitting voip dialpeer and not pots.

issue csim command with 9number you want to reach

Hello Carlo,

how can i use 9 number?

what i know is the real number 71711100 for example or 27373788

how can i test this with the csim command

i'm not an expert i'm trying to understand and identify the problem at the same time

thanks for your help

Hi,

How did you dial when you make an external call?  first number is 9 or 0?

You can check which dial peer are route the number that you are dial. So try to do this:

show dialplan number <enter 9 + the number that you can dial>

This commnand will show you which dial peer is the first option. I believe that you have a problem of overlap of dial-peer.

Share the results here .

Hello All,

so as a result, i have the csim command work fine. But, the problem occur randomly. Sometimes communications works to the external world  and sometimes it doesn't work.

As a first conclusion, the configuration has no thing wrong. So is it a hardware problem with the cisco router?

Please help me to determine the reason of the problem.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Check the voice port (FXO) in which the problem happens. I know that you have a trunk group, and the selection alternating between voice-port. Try to see what is the fxo that presents problems.

Try to use <show voice dsp error> to check if the problem is DSP.

Best regards,
Daniel Sobrinho

Hi

After identify the FXO damaged you can isolate the fxo removing the trunk group configuration from that, until you get new card.

Hello all,

The csim command works very well now. I had explained that the problem is random.

So for the result of the execution of this command is as shown in the figure

Also there is the result of the show dsp command in the following capture:

What we need to know now is the reason to have this problem randomly !!!

if it is a configuration problem it should never work!

it seems to be another problem that i want to identify.

have you any suggestion? if yes i will be gratefull

Thank you in advance

Marwa

Hi Marwa

I agree with Daniel

One of your line could  not work correctly so you should isolate it by removing from trunk group.

Please use terminal such as putty to export logs...

Activate what follows

debug vpm all

debug voip dialpeer inout

Ask your customer to make a call from a phone

Post the output

Thanks

Hello All,

i tested all the lines and all of them work fine. So, i dont have a problem on lines. The problem  should be on the router 2801. But, until now i have no idea about what component is causing the problem.

Now, all internal clients can make calls. But i'm afraid about the problem appear again and always cant identify the real source of the problem.

I wish it is clear now

Thanks all for replying and trying to give me some ideas and suggestion.

Thanks

Marwa

Hi Marwa.

Hi Carlo,

So as you have recommanded, i followed the steps you have described and i post the collected logs. I have asked the client to simulate a call from it's IP phone to the external number 27373788.

Wish these logs will be helpful for you to help me identify the cause of the issu

Thanks a lot

Marwa

Hi Marwa.

Please send me the output of a show diag and a show ver.
