Hi all,

I have a problem when i would configured the second E1.

the problem:

Not enough DSP resources available to configure pri-group on controller E1 0/1/0
% The remaining dsp resources are enough for 26 time slots.
% For current codec complexity, 1 extra 16 channel dsp(s) are required to create this voice port.

you can see bellow the problem with informations of the gateway

Any one have a solution ???

Best regards

You do not have enough DSP resources because of the FXO cards present on the router,
2 PVDM3-32 = 64 sessions
You have already configured E1 0/0/0 for 32 channels.
You also have 2 x VIC2-4FXO cards. These 8 ports are also taking up DSP resources in order to function.
This is why the router errors when you try configuring another E1 circuit. You'll need to add another PVDM3 card into the router, or invest in a PVDM3-128 card.

You can use this link to calculate the number of DSPs required. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/applications/dsp-calc.html
I put in your setup into the calculator and it requires a PVDM3-128 which will allow some extra DSP resources to be used for other tasks if required.

Router: 2911
IOS: 15.1(4)M
DSP Modules Required:
PVDM3-128: 1

DSP Module Allocation:
Router Slot 0: 68 Voice (54%) 60 Available (46%)
PVDM Slot 0/0: PVDM3-128

Call Volume Allocation:
Router Slot 0 Low Med High
Slot 0/0: VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1(E1) 30
Slot 0/1: VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1(E1) 30
Slot 0/2: VIC2-4FXO(FXO) 4
Slot 0/3: VIC2-4FXO(FXO) 4

thank you for your help
