Problems with printer and CP 7821

Hi everybody,

I have been facing with a problem when we try to print or scan and a CP 7821 is connected in the middle of computer (node - CP Phone - PC).

Users report that when they try to print or scan from their PC´s and CP 7821 is connected this doesn´t work, files that were sent to be printed or scaned don´t arrive at printer or sometimes it delays.

My client is using their swith ports to handle 1gb eth speed, and I know CP 7821 only support 100 mb.

We´ve been doing many test like configure SW ports to 100 mb, change the auto-negotiation port on CP 7821 to half and full duplex, but the problem persists, only when we have 8851 or 8845 phones this problem doesn´t appear.

I expect you can help me.

Regards.

1. What firmware is the phone(s) running on?
2. Is this a Juniper switch?

Take a packet capture using wire shark of the bad and good traffic patterns and compare the difference. Also you could do a tdr test on the switch to see if you have a cabling issue,if your switch supports it.

Hi Leo,

Sorry I pushed the "Accept solution" button.

We have an Enterasys switch, and the firmware version is sip78xx.11-7-1-17.

Regards.
