Hi All,

I have an issue when PSTN users are calling calls are not going to voice mail.

1)  Internal calls are going to voice mail.

2) Whn calling from PSTN number , call i snever going to voice mail it is keep on ringinng. If I enable call forward all to voic email, it is getting disconnected immediatly.

It seems to be an issue with all sites in cluster

Call Flow :

PSTN --> SBC -(Sending the call in Non-DID format, SBC is doing translation)-> CUCM-->CUC.

Opened a TAC  and they are saying SBC sending disconnect with "protocol error". Not sure what exactly this means. Any suggestions on this would greatly helps.

"protocol error" could mean a few things it could be related to the SIP headers and how they are being presented to CUCM or vice versa.

Before addressing the issue of PSTN calls not forwarding to voicemail, can you confirm if internal calls are going to voicemail? I hope there are no issues with calls from PSTN reaching your CUCM and desk phones. What are your call forwarding settings on the phone? Could you share a screenshot of the configuration if you don't mind?

Hi Nithin,

yes, internal calls are going to voice mail.there is no issue with phone calls. I xan not take the screen shot of the settings but all configs all line good.even if I enable call forward all to vm , call is immediatly getting disconnected not even coneecting.

Do you have the logs for these failed calls? We need to see who disconnected the calls.

Hello,

Do you have Voice Mail option ticked on the Forward No Answer External setting on the DN line configuration?
