PSTN Line Configuration

Hi,

We have CUCM and voip gateway 2811. After changing service provider gateway , we are facing some caller id issues on outgoing calls.

 

We have 10 extension like 6400, 6401, 6402 ------

The PSTN line are 048831000, 048831101, 048831102 ,------------

 

IF any body make a call to outside , its should be show their PSTN number. Currently one board number is showing (04 8831000)

 

Can you pls help us to rectify the same.

Start by looking at the debugs and make sure you're sending the right calling party info, if you do, then call your telco to discuss this.

If you're not sending the right calling party, then adjust you configuration.

Can you please go through this attached configuration and suggest some solution.

The service provider saying they will accept 9 digits , something like that.... . not sure about this.

Hi,

Contact you provider to see what format they are expecting to receive for
calling number to pass it. Seems that your providers doesn't like the
current format of calling number and overriding it with pilot number.

They told some digits issue. The new gateway (Service Provider) accept 9 digits some thing .... I am not sure about that.

 

Can you pls go through attached configuration and suggest a solution.

I am not familiar on cisco voice part.

Ok, lets assume that your extension range is 4XXX and your DID range is
7046224XXX

Then let's assume that your provider is expecting to see 6224XXX as calling
number, in this case you need to perform voice translation as follow:

1. create translation rule

voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 /\(^4...$\)/ /622\1/

2. Assign the rule to profile

voice translation-profile xforming
translation calling 1

3. Assign the profile to FXO or PRI

voice-port 0/0/0
translation-profile outgoing xforming

1) I would suggent to do a debug isdn q931 on incoming calls and notice how the Called & Calling Number are sent and try to send the same format to ISP for outgoing calls.
