I am trying to understand how cos marking works when connecting an IP Phone (Cisco/non-Cisco) to a 3560.
Both(PC and IP Phone) are marking frames with a certain cos value. Can we override the cos settings for frames coming from the PC and the IP Phone both ?
command 1: int gi0/1
command 2: mls qos cos 5
command 3: mls qos cos override
command 4: switchport priority extend cos 1
From the above config, will all the frames(PC and IP Phone) be marked with a cos of 5? If yes, how would configure the switch so that frames from the PC be marked with a cos of 1 and the frames from the IP Phone be marked with a cos of 5?
