Question about CUCM 8.5

Hi Folks & Friends,

I have tricky requirement you to answer for my corporate.

Consider i have 2 CISCO IP Phone DN as below.

Phone 1 : 1001

Phone 2 : 2001

Both configured for different locations in my CUCM. and both DN doesnt have voicemail facility.

Here my requirement :

  • If any one call to Phone 1 after 3 rings it should forward the call to Phone 2 and on phone 2 it should ring 3 times then the call should disconnect.

  • If any one call to Phone 2 after 3 rings it should forward the call to Phone 1 and on phone 1 it should ring 3 times then the call should disconnect

In call manage i have enabled the forward settings on both the phones ( i.e Phone 2 will forward the call to Phone 1 and the Phone 1 will forward the call to Phone 2 after 3 rings )

But what is happening here is call is getting loop and also it is not getting disconnect. How can we change this behaviour.

Your answers are highly appreciated...   Kulasekara Raja. K

I'd configure a line group for each set of DNs and use the 2 DNs as the hunt pilots as well, do not configure a CFB/CFNA behavior

Hi Java,

Thank you for your reply...

I have configured a line group from Call Routing --> Route/Hunt --> Line Group.

The values as follows:

Line Group Name : Test_Group, RNA reservation timeout : 3, Distribution Algarithum : Top Down.

In the current line group members it shows 1001 and 2001

Hope i have configured it correctly. But when i give ring to 1001 it rings always it is not going to 2001.

Correct me if i did any mistake in the configuration part. Since i am totally new for this domain.... :-(

You need to change the DNs of the phons and build 1001 and 2001 as DNs of the hunt pilots.

HTH,

Chris
