Questions to ask to the customer: TDM to SIP Trunking Migration

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone can help me in drafting questions when a customer considers moving to SIP Trunking from TDM voice circuits.

This would be both from Pre-Sales & Technical aspect.

I think the big one to ask, in case of SRST or CME fallback is being used, redundant telephony be incorporated into a SIP solution. I am saying this becuase the transition to sip isnt always a voluntary one, I could be because a provider no longer offers traditional ISDN in an area for instance.  

I have seen plenty cases where remote site telephony fall back is no longer a valid option becuase with a SIP provider, your WAN link becomes a single point of failure. (unless you have 4G backup link for instance)

Codec usage is another one, what codecs does you sip trunk provider allow/offer?

Number presentation, SIP providers are very specific on what number you present to them on outbound calls, and what effect does this have on your dial plan?
