"Intercom feature is not supported for this device"?

I tried to BAT in two phones (7965 and 9971) with sidecars on both.

Intercom buttons were configured on sidecar.  I got the error messages below:

SEP58BFEA219511 INTERCOM-LINE :: Error : 4046 Intercom feature is not supported for this device

SEP10BD1801D99C INTERCOM-LINE :: Error : 4046 Intercom feature is not supported for this device

Has anyone seen similar messages before?  Was it related to phone button template?

I searched Cisco docs.  But couldn't find explanation of the errors.

Hi Michael

Try importing the phone via BAT tool by leaving "Intercom Default Activated Device" field as blank

It turned out that at some of the intercom buttons, the "Intercom Directory Number" field was blank (while other fields are not).  But the error message was really misleading.
