record phone conversation on a ipt call

Does any one have solution on record a phone (session)discussion/conversation. Do we need a external tape recorder or Call manager can store a wav file?

Call manager can't do this natively.

If you have a newer Unity version, unity has a feature called Live Record you may want to look up and try.

If you have IPCC Express (Call Center) that has feature to record agent calls.

There are also several third party companies that make such application/product. Check out cistera, berbee, etc. A google search pulls up a couple hits also.

There is a product called USB Recorder that works, good for a single phone application. Basically it connects to the phone between the phone and the handset and has USB connection to a computer. You install the USB client on the computer. When you want to record a phone conversation, you just press the record button, that creates a wav file on your computer. The unit runs around $135.
